here’s my impression of congress
congress: oh no the finance sector is collapsing due to bad credit and stupid decisions! here have seven hundred billion dollars
TWO MONTHS LATER
congress: oh no a service industry whose death will have predictable and devastating effects internationally while forcing millions of blue collar workers into unemployment is collapsing due to bad business practices and little oversight!

So… today, this poor girl made one unfortunate remark about the 5th dimension, or something, and her male friend proceeded for the next 10 minutes to try to explain to her what the 10th dimension actually is.
So… this made me laugh.
So… I went on Wikipedia and looked up A Wrinkle in Time, and remembered what a crazy story it was. Disembodied giant brain?
So… wrinkles in time can make you teleport through the THIRD DIMENSION. Do you understand? Let me draw you a diagram. And if you apply that to the next series….
Yup.

Barack Obama, John McCain, and Joseph Biden, you are all god damn retards.
What in fuck were you honestly expecting by voting yes on a $700 billion handout?

Leah Moreland, the woman who said she grew up sheltered from prejudice, plans to vote for McCain. Party loyalty is also part of her decision. But her cultural compass also comes into play. She says her gut tells her not to trust Obama.
“I look at Obama, and I have a question in my mind,” she says. “Years ago, was he taken into the Muslim faith? And my concern is the only way you are no longer a Muslim is if you are dead, killed. So in my mind, he’s still alive.”
Although Barack Obama has said repeatedly he is not a Muslim and has never been a Muslim, Moreland is still unconvinced.
“There is something about him I don’t trust,” she says. “I don’t care how good a speaker he is, I just can’t trust him.”
I was like WHAT THE FUCK. Her language skills are terrible!
“I look at Obama, and I have a question in my mind,” she says. “Years ago, was he taken into the Muslim faith? And my concern is I believe the only way you are no longer a Muslim is if you are dead, killed(…wtf), so in my mind, he’s still alive a Muslim.”
There we go, now her sentence is actually coherent. Too bad it’s still completely retarded.

Despite having declared a friendship with the child, things were not going so well. It was the end of the month, and I hadn’t managed to get Jesus to behave. I mean, he wasn’t as bad as before, but progress was slower than I was hoping for. I wondered if I had mistakenly assumed that he’d be more obedient to someone he liked. Maybe he was going to be a pain in the ass whether he liked you or not, you know? Anyway, when Dale came to me asking if the kid was ready, all I could do was shrug and say, “eh. maybe.”

The next day was my day off. I stayed at home and watched Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai off an old VHS tape I had lying around. Then I sat around and did nothing for the rest of the day.

The kid and I got along OK after a while. I spent the first week softening him up and playing around with him. I don’t think he realised that the games we were playing were actually tests to gauge his abilities. I had to get a feel for his endurance, his agility, his strength, etc. before I could make him into a fighter.

Well, chasing down a kid by foot is always a pain. It’s worse when you had a big breakfast beforehand, but who’s complaining? Despite his head start, there was no way that he was going to out run me. His legs were just too short. I caught up to him after a few minutes of running willy-nilly through the hallways. He was cornered, but he still wouldn’t chill out and be reasonable. I don’t know what his problem was. It was like he was being a pain in the ass for no reason other than to annoy people. I won’t make any excuses though; it wasn’t right for me to hit the kid. What I will say is that I didn’t mean to hit him so hard that he flew over the second story balcony. Kid was lighter than I expected, ya know?

Three days later, I was on my way back to the House of Orphans. Along the way, I had the driver stop at a House of Pancakes. I treated myself to a big breakfast, at my employer’s expense, and even ordered some food to go for the little squirt I was about to spend the day with. It was a gesture of good will, but I had a sneaking suspicion he was going to throw it back in my face, the little bastard.
